Yarrow Achillea millefolium
Herbaceous perennial with long history of medicinal use. Fern-like foliage with colorful flowers in assorted varieties during the summer; spreading and self-seeding, can be invasive. Attracts butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds.

Growing Requirements
Full Sun
Well-drained soil with low to medium water requirements. Drought and heat tolerant. Prefers acid, sandy soil but is adaptable. Hardy to zones 3-9 (-40 to -30°F)
Culture & Care
For a neat appearance, trim off spent flowers just above the leaf, then cut stalk back at the base when no new blooms form. Remove old foliage before new leaves emerge. Cut back if it freezes. Divide clumps every 3-4 years in early spring, discarding dead centers and replanting outer vigorous portions. Fertilize yearly.

Appleblossom Yarrow
Variety with soft pink to pale rose blooms that fade to shades of white. Flowers in May and June and re-flowers through first frost. Grows to about 2′ tall.
Ortel’s Rose Yarrow
Light to rosy pink flowers. An excellent cut flower that retains color when dried.
