Penstemon, Rock Penstemon baccharifolius
Also known as Baccharis-leaf penstemon or beardtongue. A drought tolerant small, shrubby perennial with tubular, cherry red flowers in late-spring and summer. May die down in winter below 28°F. Attracts hummingbirds.

Full Sun, Part Shade
Needs excellent drainage; do not over-water. Shade roots from late afternoon sun with mulch or rocks.
Culture & Care
Remove winter damage and optionally cut back to promote dense, bushy habit.
