Cedar Sage Salvia roemeriana
A sweet little native perennial that grows in the shade and boasts showy red edible flowers from spring through summer. Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Adapted to grow in the shade and leaf mulch of Ashe Juniper, will self-sow to create a ground cover if not too heavily mulched or covered with leaves.

Growing Requirements
Part Shade, Light Shade, Shade
Becomes stunted and stressed with exposure to continuous full sun; does best in dappled shade. Adaptable to soil type; requires well-drained conditions or may rot with wet feet. Drought tolerant once established.
Culture & Care
Do not mulch too deeply. Prior to freezing temperatures, water deeply, trim back to about 2-3″ high, and apply a light layer of mulch.
